Virtueller Server auf Firewall (z.B. Bochs) ??
Hallo, ich habe immer meine Linux Kiste im Netz. Ich entwickle Software und möchte diese gerne auch von irgendwo entwickeln. Es wird gesagt, je weniger Dienste auf der Firewall laufen je sicherer wird Sie. Ich möchte aber nicht ständig einen weiteren Server am Laufen haben. Meine Idee: Einen virtuellen Server (Bochs oder ähnlich) einrichten, der mit einem verschlüsselten Dateisystem arbeitet. Login nur von der Firewall, CVS installiert, Compiler et al drauf und gut. Dann ist das doch schon sehr sicher, oder ? Warum willst Du mit verschlüsselten Dateisystem arbeiten? Das macht nur Sinn, wenn der Server physikalisch an einem nicht vertrauenswürdigen Ort steht.
Dann ist das doch schon sehr sicher, oder ?

Ebenso in entweder einem der früher Linux-Magazine oder c't - weiß nicht mehr wo, aber in einer der genannten findet sich ein ebenfalls sehr interessanter Artikel. Zumindest die Versprechungen auf http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/ hören sich gut an. Vielleicht mal'n Test wert. grübel... Gruß, Tobias.
