Ich möchte aus dem Internet Dateien runterladen, das erledigt ja im Webbrowser das unsichere ftp. Kann mann ftp durch ssh oder openssh ersetzen, und wenn ja sollte man openssh dem ssh vorziehen, wer hat damit Erfahrung? Wie ssh oder openssh funktioniert, weiß ich von der Theorie schon ein wenig, nur wird in den Dokus immer erzählt, es würde ftp nur teilweise ersetzen, und ich brauche ja nur dieses Feature des Dateiendownloads aus dem Net. Gibt es vielleicht andere alternativen zu ftp, außer ssh oder openssh?

Wenn Du per WebBrowser Dateien herunterlädst,dann geht dies über einen offenen Zugang. Wenn aber jeder an die Dateien heran kommt: Warum willst Du dies verschlüsseln? Zur Kontrolle, ob die Dateien richtig angekommen sind (dies ist ja auch wichtig) kann z.B. md5sum oder so dienen! Wenn Du aber Dateien von einem Rechner zu einem anderen transportieren willst (also Dateien mit Userberechtigung übertragen willst), dann ist ftp wirklich unsicher, da hier login und passwort unverschlüsselt übertragen werden. die Unsicherheit von ftp bezieht sich darauf das man wenn man einen ftp server betreibt ein beliebtes Angriffsziel ist. Und das die Verbindung unverschlüsselt läuft aber idr. nicht im Falle der einfachen Softwareverteilung to all weil all sich ja die files eh ziehen kann sondern nur dann wenn man sich per ftp mit einem echten user account einloggt denn dann gilt alles zu paketsniffern gesagte was es zu telnet zu sagen gibt. Wer per ftp client irgendwo ne Datei runter lädt gefährdet sein system idr. erst wenn er die Datei ausführt. ;-) verbindungen über ssh sind verschlüsselt und universeller als ftp, allerdings gibt es für scp (das ssh basierte pendant zu ftp) keinen quasi standardisierten anonymous user wie bei ftp. Daher ist dieses Verfahren nur dann sinnvoll zur Softwareverteilung to all anwendbar wenn man irgendwo werbewirksam dokumentieren kann wie der user heisst der auf diesem System anonymous spielt. siehe auch rsync -- MfG.
