Falls das jetzt doppelt kommt, mein Mailprovider hatte Probleme --- Hallo Liste, ich habe schon mehrfach Acronis Backups auf neuer Platte im selben Rechner und auch auf andere Hardware erfolgreich wiederhergestellt. das Bootmenü erscheint noch aber nach auswählen eines Eintages kommt dann sehr früh "waiting for /dev/sda6 to appear ..." und es geht nicht weiter, er findet die Platten nicht. das Rettungssystem (12.3, wie auch das zu rettende) sieht die Platte, die Paritionen lassen sich manuell mounten und die Dateien bearbeiten. Ein neu Schreiben des grub scheitert an stage2: erfindet offenbar (hd0) nicht in setup --stage2=/boot/grub/stage2 --force-lba (hd0) (hd0,5) Das brachte mich, der ich früher mit lilo quasi auf du war und mit grub und grub2 eher fremdelt, dazu, mir mal die Dateien in /boot/grub und die /etc(grub.conf anzugucken. Und ja (hd0) ist da in device.map immer noch eine Referenz auf die urspüngliche Platte, die natürlich nix mehr mit der jetzigen zu tun hat. Nur: das war bislang _immer_ so, auch bei den erfolgreichen Wiederherstellungen /Verpflanzungen von Systemen. Habe ich bislang nur "Glück gehabt" und werde über kurz oder lang da auch auf die Schnauze fallen? oder ist der device.map eintrag nicht (mehr) "kriegsentscheidend" und ich muss auch bei meinem konkreten Problem woanders suchen? Ich bin für jeden Tipp dankbar, der mir hilft, meinen Clon zum Booten zu bekommen und evtl. systematische Fehler in meinem Vorgehen auszumerzen.
