Hallo Listlinge, ich habe auf meinem Mac einen X-Server installiert und möchte damit auf meinem Linux-Server arbeiten. Ich habe festgestellt, daß ich nur einen grafischen Login-Prompt bekomme, wenn ich xdm oder auch kdm auf dem Linux-Server starte. Dort möchte ich aber kein grafisches Login haben. An welcher Schraube muß ich da drehen? Kann ich einfach die Datei /usr/X11/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0 löschen? Danke, Christian -- Made with a Macintosh... Aber soweit ich weiss mueste es doch eigentlich ausreichen wenn du den x server mit "stratx" von der bash aus startest!? Oder irre ich mich??
Yepp, scheint so, er will ja gerade kein lokales Display... Ich hab hier kein X zur Hand... Jedenfalls ist klar, das xdm laufen muß, weil der ja die Displays managed... es gibt dafür aber ein rc file, wo man sowas einstellen kann IIRC.
