Hallo Leute, hier mal was anderes als Mailaccount-Überwachung... Wenn ich SuSE 8.0 runterfahre, dann war ich es bisher gewohnt das sich er Rechner ausschaltet. Nicht so auf einem neuen Rechner den ich gerade einrichte hier geht es sauber runter bis zum 'The system will be haltet immediately', er pieps 2x und ist dann auch wirklich unten aber halt nicht aus. Kann ich dieses Verhalten irgendwo beeinflussen? Wird wahrscheinlich ehr eine BIOS Geschichte sein aber ich finde nichts derartiges. Noch ein schönes Wochenende Michael PS Was die Überwachung der Mailaccounts angeht - da kann ich nur sagen nichts ohne rechtliche Absicherung + Betriebsrat. Schon gar nich so mal proforma scannen!

Ist eine BIOS-Geschichte, such mal nach "Advanced Powermanagement" oder "Green Function" oder "erweiterte Stromverbrauchssteuerung" und aehnlichem. Aber eben im BIOS Setup musst Du suchen. Gruss, Conrad.

Hallo, im BIOS ist das Powermanagement ganz ausgeschaltet und ich bekomme es nicht an. Der Jumper der m.E. verantwortlich ist der ist schon gesetzt. Es gibt da noch eine Option "Allow cards to trap INT 19 (ist aus). Kann das was bewirken? Es wurde in einer anderen Mail das Schlagwort "realmode power off " erwaehnt - kann ich hier das Verhalten von der OS Seite aus beeinflussen, oder muss ich erstmal sehen das ich das Powermanagement angeschaltet bekomme. Was ich eigentlich auch gar nicht will da es sich hier um einen Server handelt. Michael

Sorry, habe leider keine Ahnung, aber schau mal im Mainboard Handbuch (wenn nicht vorhanden, suche mal auf der Homepage des Herstellers). Macht der Rechner denn mit einem anderen OS powerdown nach dem shutdown? Gruss, Conrad.
