Hi, habe manuell an meiner Netzwerk-Config geschraubt, und möchte nun nicht mehr mit YaST 'drangehen. Ich hätte gerne die Config-files auf dial-on-demand gestellt. In der SuSE-Hilfe finde ich Dial-on-Demand können Sie mit YaST2 aktivieren (siehe auch das Buch Basis) oder Sie richten es manuell ein. Setzen Sie in der Datei /etc/sysconfig/network/providers/dsl-provider0 den Parameter DEMAND= auf ,,yes`` und definieren Sie eine Idletime mit der Variable: IDLETIME="60" . Damit wird eine unbenutzte Verbindung nach 60 Sekunden beendet. Offensichtlich reicht das aber noch nicht. Also habe ich mal geschaut. Unter /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-dsl0 steht DEVICE="eth0" PPPMODE="pppoe" PROVIDER="dsl-provider0" STARTMODE="manual" Ich vermute mal, dass das der Parameter ist, den ich verstellen muß. Aber: Weiß jemand, welchen Wert ich eintragen muß? SDB, google und sonstige recherche waren leider nicht sehr erfolgreich. Hi, knapp daneben. Schaue in die Datei /etc/pppoed.conf. Da sollte etwa folgendes drinstehen: interface= "eth0" #Dein Interface user="Deine Userkennung" password="Dein Password" demand="yes" #das ist der Parameter den Du gesucht hast idle="180" #Zeit in Sekunden bis die Verbindung bei Inaktivität getrennt wird Sollte da mehr Stehen, dann bitte den Rest so lassen wie er ist, wenn alles funktioniert.
