Hallo, wie das Subject schon sagt: Wer kann mich bitte mit der Nase auf ein paar Infos stossen? Ich würde gerne Xfree 4.x ausprobieren, muß aber die XFree 3.3.6 lauffähig halten können. Damit läuft mein System stabil und dies soll als Fallback Lösung funktionieren, falls irgendeine Software Probleme mit Xfree 4.x macht. Ich denke da z.B. an vmware, von der auf der Homepage gesagt wird: läuft mit XFree 4.x, aber: Note: VMware Workstation runs with XFree86 4.0, but there are some limitations due to the lack of new drivers in most distributions. In practice this means that you may not be able to run in full- screen mode, but Workstation should not crash. [...] Alte Version wegsichern? Dann kannst Du sie immer wieder herstellen. Ist nicht parallel, aber ist das notwendig? Ich denke, daß Dir das viel Probleme bereiten wird. hth Alex
