Olivetti 5040 mit Linux ??
Hallo, habe hier eine ausrangierte LSX 5040 von Olivetti bekommen. Besteht aus EISA Mainboard, zwei Prozessorboards mit 486DX2-66 Prozessoren und 64MB Ram. Interne EA/Karte mit SCSI und IDE Controller. Dazu weitere EISA SCSI Karte mit 2 Kanälen (größter Chip ist ein AMD 29000-20GC). Dazu eine EISA Netzwerkkarte (markantester Chip ein Intel A82596SX-20). Installiert ist ein Sys V R4 von Olivetti. Ich kann auf der Kiste einen Linux Kernel booten (alte SuSE 5.0).2 x 500 MB IDE Platten werden erkannt. Doch beim durchprobieren sämtlicher SCSI und Netzwerkkartentreiber hatte ich keinen Erfolg. Dürfte auch recht schwer sein, da was passenden zu finden. Die Netzwerkkarte könnte ich ja noch ohne große Kosten durch eine billige ISA Karte ersetzen, die von Linux unterstützt wird. Doch beim EISA SCSI Controller habe ich eigentlich wenig Hoffnung, oder???
