Hallo , ich habe gerade ghostscript 7.05 unter SuSE 8.0 installiert und versucht, ein Bild anzuschauen, welches ich mit xfig erzeugte. Das Bild enthält Buchstaben in Helvetica, die in xfig einwandfrei dargestellt werden. Mir ist nicht ganz klar, wie ich weitermachen soll, für Tips bin ich dankbar. -- Karl

Ich will dich nicht auf Irrwege führen, aber ich glaube mich dunkel zu erinnern, daß ein findfont-Fehler, wenn er offensichtlich unbegründet ist, auch darauf hinweisen kann, daß GS seine Notfall-Substitutionsfonts nicht findet. Das müsste sich dann nicht auf die Helvewtica beziehen (Die du ja hast), sondern auf die Nimbus. Spontane Idee, um das zu verifizieren: Greif dir eine PS-Datei, die überhaupt keine Fonts benötigt/enthält. Solltest du auch dort findfont-Errors erhalten, hatte ich wohl recht.
