Hi ! Ich habe ein Problem mit meinem Laptop per kppp ins Internet zu kommen. Das PCMCIA-Modem wählt, bricht aber plötzlich mit folgender Fehlermeldung ab: May 25 00:20:09 PCLAP kernel: CSLIP: code copyright 1989 Regents of the University of California May 25 00:20:09 PCLAP insmod: insmod: a module named slhc already exists May 25 00:20:09 PCLAP kernel: PPP generic driver version 2.4.1 May 25 00:20:09 PCLAP insmod: insmod: insmod ppp0 failed May 25 00:20:09 PCLAP pppd[512]: pppd 2.4.0 started by root, uid 0 May 25 00:20:09 PCLAP pppd[512]: Perms of /dev/ttyS4 are ok, no 'mesg n' neccesary. May 25 00:20:09 PCLAP pppd[512]: Couldn't set tty to PPP discipline: Invalid argument May 25 00:20:09 PCLAP pppd[512]: Exit. Das Modem ist ok. Ich habe es per minicom getestet. Leider habe ich in der SuSE-SDB nicht entsprechendes gefunden. Habe SuSE 7.1Prof., Kernel 2.4.4, KDE 2.1.1, XFree 4.0.3 installiert. Dirk

Schau Posting Fehler pppd1 von 11.04.2001 an. Du musst neuesten pppd herunenterladen, weil du Kernel 2.4.x benützst! Gruss Dusko -- MfG / With best Regards Rusmir Dusko Registered Linux user: #130654 http://counter.li.org
