Kernel root `/usr/src/linux' is not found
Hallo Leute Habe versucht meinen kernel mit lm_sensors zu patchen aber bekam die Meldung Kernel root /usr/src/linux is not found, Habe den Kernel 2.4.4 heruntergeladen ,entpackt in /usr/src/linux umbenannt in linux-2.4.4 und einen symlink namens linux gemacht. lm_sensors ins tmp kopiert und den Befehl mkpatch/mkpatch.pl . /usr/src/linux > | patch -p1 -E -d /usr/src/linux gemacht aber ging leider nicht,was mache ich falsch,hab das alles natrlich als root gemacht..... vielen dank

Also wenn ich Dein Problem richtig verstehe ... Versuchs mal so: Kernel von www.kernel.org saugen, nach /usr/src/ kopieren und entpacken. Danach befindet sich unter /usr/src/ das Verzeichnis 'linux'. Dieses Verzeichnis umbenennen in linux-2.4.4. Nun mittels 'ln' den symb. Link anlegen: ln -s linux-2.4.4 linux. Patchen mit linux/scripts/patch-kernel, die einzuspielenden Kernel-Patches müssen unter /usr/src/ abgespeichert sein - ob es mit dem lm_sensors genauso klappt mußt Du ausprobieren. -- Thomas Graul <TGraul@T-Online.de> D - 64289 Darmstadt

Soweit siehts gut aus.
tmp kopiert und den Befehl mkpatch/mkpatch.pl . /usr/src/linux > | patch -p1 -E -d /usr/src/linux gemacht
Mach das mal in zwei schritten, um festzustellen, wo es hakt. Irgendwie sieht mir das "> |" sehr suspekt aus! Also versuchs mal mit mkpatch/mkpatch.pl . /usr/src/linux > lm_sensors.patch patch -p1 -E -d /usr/src/linux -i lm_sensors.patch und sag Bescheid, wenn eines von beiden hakt.

auch wenn ich nur mkpatch/mkpatch.pl . /usr/src/linux > lm_sensors.patch eingebe dann bekomm ich schon die Meldung hmm mfg Raphael Lechner
