Dann bricht der Verbindungsaufbau ab
Könnte das damit zu tun haben, dass es sich wohl um ein winmodem handelt?

Ich habe erst vor kurzem auf meinem alten Laptop (Gericom 633) SuSE 9.0 installiert. Yast fand das Winmodem (Uniwill Intel 537 [56k Winmodem]). Das Problem war dann, daß bei der Einrichtung unter "Modemgerät" keine Adresse ausgewählt werden konnte. Daraufhin habe ich den smartlink-softmodem-treiber lt. Anleitung installiert, konfiguriert und dann das Modem eingerichtet (Nicht das von Yast gefundene, sondern: Andere (nicht erkannte)!!!) Die Geräteadresse, die einzutragen ist, wird bei der Konfiguration des Treibers angezeigt. (bei mir: ttySLO). Danach lief das Teil erstmalig unter Linux. Also, einfach mal mit dem Treiber versuchen.
