HI, im Grunde hab' ich nun schon fast alles hinbekommen, aber beim Printserver beiß' ich mir einfach die Zähne aus. So richtig nett wurde es heute morgen um 01:00 Uhr. Fast mit den Nerven fertig hatte ich beschlossen, CUPS zu deinstallieren und den alten lprng wieder zu installieren und das natürlich dummerweise auf gleich 2 Rechnern. Die Deinstallation klappte noch hervorragend, aber bei der Installation vernahm' ich plötzlich komische Geräusche aus dem Laufwerk, Klang ähnlich, wie wenn ich 'ne DVD ankucken will. Am Bildschirm bewegte sich nichts weiter - also hate ich die Installation abgebrochen und die CD aus'm Laufwerk geholt, da ich mir dachte, "Na, vielleicht ist sie ja ein wenig verschmutzt". Was ich aber dann sah' verschlug mir den Atem: http://omni128.de/var/p6080001.jpg und http://omni128.de/var/p6080002.jpg Bis dahin dachte ich immer, ich hätte schon alles gesehen, aber das war dann doch zu viel! :-( CD1 im AR*** und kein Drucksystem mehr. Noch dazu hatte ich meiner Frau versprochen, für das Ritterfest im Kindergarten ca. 10 Listen auszudrucken. Die volle Ladung ... :-( Aber na ja, werd' mir wohl am Montag Morgen die CD1 ausborgen und eine Kopie ziehen müssen. Aber elche Bereiche der cupsd.conf sind dazu die "richtigen"? Ich bin mir sicher es ist ganz ganz einfach und ich steh' oder besser sitz' auf'm Schlauch. Hi! Ganz kurz und einfach: auf dem Printerserver muß der CUPS-Server laufen, auf den Clients der CUPS-Client. Brauchst du auf dem Server auch Druckfunktionen, so benötigst du dort ebenso den Client. Auf allen Rechner müssen die Treiber installiert sein (Windowsclients brauchen die Windowstreiber, dann allerdings auf dem Printerserver raw-Printer anlegen, eventuell noch die browse-Eigenschaft freischalten). Wenn du auf einem Client die Drucker eingerichtet hast, kannst du /etc/cups einfach auf die anderen Clients kopieren und CUPS neu starten. Mittlerweilen kann ich wieder drucken, ein Kurier hatte mir die DVD 8.0 gebracht. Nur diese Auswahlmöglichkeit hab' ich im Moment nicht. Wieso nicht, wenn's Dir gefallen! Mittlerweile kann ich auch wieder darüber lachen, aber wundern tut's mich schon ein wenig. Die CD muß wohl von Haus aus schon einen "Becker" gehabt haben, denn anders kann ich mir den Riß gar nicht vorstellen. Die anderen Scheiben, z.B. die Shrek-DVD wurde einem intensiven Dauertest, ich glaub' den hab' ich nunmehr schon über 20x angekuckt, fehlt ja auch nix.
Hast du auch eine Windows-Version? ;-)
Was bitte ist das da ^^^^? Ich kenne X-Window aber das da? :-)

Hi, das sieht nach einem extremen Hitzeproblem aus (bzw. zu plötzlicher Abkühlung). </echtes beileid> Vielleicht öfter mal ne Pause machen? Zu deinem cups-problem: wenn die anderen zugreifen dürfen sollen, muss man es ihnen u.U. erst erlauben: /etc/hosts.* (Dabei gehe ich mal davon aus, das der Druck von Server selbst aus klappt. Irgendwann wollte cups auch mal in der inetd.conf eingetragen werden - vielleicht machts das install-script ja jetzt selbst - der muss dann mal neu gestartet werden. vielleicht hilfts sven
