An die Benutzer der postgres-Datenbank: Ist die Datenbank eigentlich SQL oder dBASE III - konform, oder alles beides. Ich höre immer nur "copy h3 from /tralala" usw. pp. SQL ist doch folgendes load from /tralala insert into tabelle Also, was ist denn postgres jetzt, SQL oder Mischmasch aus SQL und dBASE? Weitere SQL-Beispiele: elect * from tabelle unload to /tralala select * from tabelle create index xxx on table tabelle drop table tabelle update tabelle set attribut = wert where attribut = "766339" insert into tabelle values (x,y,z) usw. pp.. Vielleicht kann mir jemand Auskunft darauf geben. Wenn ein Mischmasch vorliegen würde, waere dies für alte dBase - Benutzer ja wunderbar! Gibt es auch so etwas die das Regiezentrum von dBase für postgres, mit Listengenerator und Formgenerator evtl. auch einer kleinen 3GL-Programmiersprache? Wäre interessant zu erfahren. Hi Bettin, Postgres und dBASE III haben wohl wenig Gemeinsamkeiten. Im grossen und ganzen ist Postgres weitgehend SQL konform, wenn man beruecksichtigt, dass Postgress ein "object" relationales DBMS ist. Wie wohl die meisten DBMS hat auch Postgres einige Features, die nicht dem SQL Standard entsprechen. So ist auch die copy-Anweisung eines dieser Features.
