SuSE 7.0, Kernel 2.4.4 und keine CD-ROMs mehr
Ich habe diese Wochenende meine Suse auf den neuen 2.4.4er Kernel geupdated. Zu meinem Erstaunen lief auch alles wunderbar ab. Nachdem ich die Nvidia Treiber für XFree gegen die nv getauscht hatte, konnte ich sagor mein X wieder starten. Allerdings stürtzt KDE2 bei mir seitdem öfters mal eben weg :-( Allerdings kann ich seit der Umstellung keine CDs mehr mounten! Ich erhalte nur diese Fehlermeldung: bodo@shadowland:~ > mount /cdr mount: /dev/cdrom hat eine falsche Major- oder Minor-Gerätenummer. bodo@shadowland:~ > cat /etc/fstab | grep cdr /dev/cdrom /cdr auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0 bodo@shadowland:~ > ll /dev/cdrom lrwxrwxrwx 1 root users 8 Mär 22 07:33 /dev/cdrom -> /dev/sr0 bodo@shadowland:~ > ll /dev/sr0 brwxr-xr-x 1 root users 11, 0 Jul 29 2000 /dev/sr0 bodo@shadowland:~ > (ich musste die gruppe leider etwas ändern, sonst konnte ich diese nicht unter VMWare benutzen :-/ ) Ich weiß jetzt nicht, was an den Major- oder Minor-Gerätenummer falsch sein könnte, weil ich diese nicht geändert habe! Ich hatte das gleiche Problem als ich mich am Kernel versucht hatte, ich hatte damals vergessen die CDROM Unterstützung mit einzubauen. Danach lief es wieder. Ich hoffe es hilft Dir, wennn nicht, dann suchen wir halt weiter:-). Eine schönne Woche wünscht Thomas

Genau das war es zwar nicht, aber etwas ähnliches. Das Modul für meinen Adaptec wurde beim installieren in ein weiteres Unterverzeichniss kopiert und wurde somit nicht gefunden und nicht geladen. Händisch umkopiert und schon läuft alles wieder *g* Trotzdem, vielen Dank! B.
