drucken unter gimp auf Cups-Server
Hallo Ich habe einen Cups-Server mit Turboprint laufen. Nun habe ich von einem Clientt-PC (testweise nur einer) die Einstellungen so gewählt, dass direkt auf den Server gedruckt wird. Das klappt nun auch ganz gut und man kann Durckoptionen ebenfalls einstellen (Auflösung, Farbe, Druckerauswahl...). Ich habe einen HP DeskJet 930c einmal mit den gimp-print ppd Dateien und einmal mit Turboprint installiert (für den besseren grafischen Ausdruck). Dazu noch ein Epson LQ-400 mit gimp-print. Soweit klappt das auch aus den Anwendungen auf dem Client (da läuft Suse 8.2 mit KDE 3.1). Nun ist aber das Problem, dass der Druck aus Gimp nicht funktioniert. Es werden auch im Druckmenü bei Druckername Drucker angezeigt, die nicht mehr im System vorhanden sind. Wie bekomme ich die weg? Die Cups-Serverdrucker werden auch angezeigt, bei denen habe ich aber keine Möglichkeit die Auflösung zu verändern. Bei Druckermodel steht PostScript Level 2. Testweise hatte ich den Drucker lokal mit der Turboprint-ppd-Datei installiert. Da steht dann auch PostScript Level 2 und ich kann die Auflösung u.s.w. einstellen. Allerdings kommt der Auftrag nicht am Server an. Wie kann ich aus Gimp direkt auf den Server drucken, wie das z.B. aus OpenOffice möglich ist. Google und verschiedene Foren haben mir leider nicht geholfen. Danke für Hilfe Torsten Zumpf

Gimp scheint aber nicht über kprinter zu drucken. Mit kprinter geht das ohne Probleme. Gimp hat was eigenes. Die Bücher die ich habe, in denen was zu Gimp steht, geben keine Auskunft über Druckereinstellungen. Ein andere Frage dazu wäre noch, wie bekomme ich Drucker aus Gimp wieder raus, die da stehen, aber nicht vorhanden sind? Danke für Infos Gruß Torsten Zumpf

Tja, ähnlich wie aus Open Office. Ich habe uwei Drucker angeschlossen unter cups: Laserjet und Deskjet. Als printer setup in Gimp gebe ich z.B. lp -s -dLaserjet und als Typ "PostScript Level 2" um auf dem Laserdrucker zu drucken.
