Hallo zusammen Ich versuche gerade bei meinem 8.0er den ghostscript auf die neue 7er Version upzudaten. rpm -Uvh ghostscript-7.04-1.i386.rpm ergibt bei der Ausführung verschiedene Konfliktmeldungen. Hat jemand erfolgreich den neuen ghostscript installiert und wenn ja mit welchem Paket? Danke und Gruss Markus Schinabeck

Hallo Phillip Danke für Deine Antwort. Ich hab mich verschrieben es handel sich um den 7.03-0 ghostscript. Zu Deinen Fragen: 1.: Wie geht das? 2.: http://www.ghostscript.com/doc/AFPL/get703.htm 3.: Konfliktmeldungen im ganzen etwa 30 hier die ersten drei file /usr/bin/bdftops from install of ghostscript-7.03-0 conflicts with file from package ghostscript-library-6.53-52 file /usr/bin/dvipdf from install of ghostscript-7.03-0 conflicts with file from package ghostscript-library-6.53-52 file /usr/bin/eps2eps from install of ghostscript-7.03-0 conflicts with file from package ghostscript-library-6.53-52 ..... SuSE teilt einzelne Programme oft in mehrere RPM-Pakete auf. Hier sind im neuen ghostscript-Paket Dateien enthalten, die bei SuSE in einem Paket anderen Namens enthalten sind. RPM glaubt nun, dass zwei verschiedene Programme (auf Grund der verschiedenen Paketnamen) den gleichen Dateinamen für sich beanspruchen, und erkennt nicht, dass er eigentlich diese Dateien ersetzen darf. Was genau drin ist, kann dir nicht sagen. SuSE hat gs auf verschiedene Pakete aufgeteilt. In einem Paket die Kommando- zeilentools, und in einem anderen gs mit X11-Unterstützung, in noch einem anderen mit SVGAlib-Untersützung für die Konsole. Wenn du sicher gehen möchtest, kannst du dir mit rpm -ql ghostscript-library (für's installierte Paket) bzw. rpm -qlp /dvd/full-names/i386/ghostsc...rpm (für's nicht installierte Paket auf der DVD) die Dateien im RPM-Paket anschauen. -- Dennis Stosberg eMail: dennis@stosberg.net dstosber@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de pgp key: http://stosberg.net/dennis.asc

Tja, wenn Du uns jetzt noch verraten würdest, *welche* Konfliktmeldungen es gibt wären wir weiter.

Ja, und zwar GNU Ghostscript 7.05 aus dem Quellcode selbst kompiliert. Seitdem Ghostscript automake + autoconf verwendet, gibt's echt keine Probleme mehr. Aufpassen musst Du nur, wenn Du spezielle Druckertreiber verwendest, die evtl. bei SuSE dabei sind, nicht aber im Original-Ghostscript.
