I am trying to make DNS server with BIND 9. But I have a ridiculour problem. My BIND 9 is going to work for my LAN whose also an internet connection through proxy server on another machine (proxy and dns server is on separated machines). My Proxy server has also DNS server with BIND 8 but it's only for 'cache name function'. What I have done are : - I've editted "/etc/rc.config" to be STARTNAMED="yes"; - I've made I've editted "/etc/named.conf" and there I defined my zone files, namely "venturelam.zone" and "192.168.23.zone". - I've also made these two files, "venturelam.zone" and "192.168.23.zone". Each time I launch my BIND 9, it can execute "venturelam.zone" without any error message in xconsole but it can not execute "192.168.23.zone". I found this error message in xconsole : " Nov 15 18:53:09 transistor /usr/sbin/named[2504]: dns_rdata_fromtext: 192.168.23.zone:2: near eol: unexpected end of input Nov 15 18:53:09 transistor /usr/sbin/named[2504]: dns_zone_load: zone 23.168.192.in-addr.arpa/IN: loading master file 192.168.23.zone: unexpected end of input " Lookslike there a syntax error in the "192.168.23.zone" file but I can not find it up to now. here I attached my "192.168.23.zone", Anybody can help me to find the problem please......? Please help me.. tell me where is the mistake, please..... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Find the one for you at Yahoo! Personals http://personals.yahoo.com
