Hallo Liste, ich m"ochte gerne meinen SnapScan 1236S von Agfa unter LinuX betreiben, als Kontroller dient ein AVA1505AE, dessen Unterst"utzung/Erkennung keine Probleme bereitet: Der Scanner nebst Kontroller wird von LinuX erkannt. Doch nun zum Problem: Das Packet SANE l"a"st sich installieren aber der Scanner l"a"st sich damit nicht steuern. Als Basis dient SuSE 6.0. Wie muss ich nun SANE konfigurieren? Die Doku ist sehr mager! Der Generic-Support f"ur Scsi ist auch vorhanden! Help needed! Hast Du schon mit Yast -> Systemadministration -> Hardware -> Scanner das Ding angemeldet? Gibt es ein /dev/scanner? Wenn 2x ja, dann: Was sagt xscanimage beim ersten Aufruf aus einem xterm? Wenn Du mit GIMP scannen willst, existiert der Symlink im $HOME/.gimp/plug-ins Verzeichnis?

Der Generic-Support f"ur Scsi ist auch vorhanden! Hast du probiert, mit scanimage --list-devices nach dem Scanner suchen zu lassen? Wenn's nicht hilft, kannst du evtl mal im Archiv der Sane-Mailinglisten blättern. Hth, Axel
