Hallo Problem eines Win95-Umsteigers (und damit LINUX-Neulings): die beiden im Subject stehenden Komponenten lassen sich nicht zur zufriedenstellenden Zusammenarbeit bewegen. Folgende Symptome: Im Textmodus (Umleiten der Ausgabe von z.B. "cat" auf den Drucker) erscheint der "Treppeneffekt". Das LineFeed am Zeilenende wird nicht in eine Kombination aus LineFeed und CarriageReturn umgewandelt, der Text ist aber leserlich. Drucke ich aus dem KDE z.B. mit kmail im Landscape-Format, wird die Mail auf DIN-A5- Querformat reduziert, aber sauber ausgedruckt. Aendere ich zurueck auf Portraitformat wird mein Drucker mit Schmierzeichen und FormFeeds gequaelt. Ich scheine das richtige Device gewaehlt zu haben (/dev/lp1), denn der Drucker reagiert, wenn ich einen Druck anstosse. PnP-BIOS ist deaktiviert, der parallele Port steht auf IO 0x378 und der ECP-Modus ist ebenfalls deaktiviert (Einstellung "normal"). Mittels yast habe ich sowohl den cdj550 als auch cdj850 ausprobiert, beide mit dem gleichen Erfolg. Was mache ich falsch?
