Moins, an einem Asus P4P800-E hängen an 2 SATA Anschlüssen zwei Festplatten. Neben einer IDE-Platte (sda) werkeln die beiden SATA Platten ganz brauchbar. sdb ist die Arbeitsplatte und auf sdc spiegel ich mit rsync mehr oder weniger erfolgreich. Nun meine Frage: Macht es Sinn aus sdb und sdc ein RAID1 zu machen, was mit dem Board wohl gehen würde oder ist das weniger sinnvoll und stattdessen soll ich lieber auf rsync setzen. Und wenn auf RAID, wie geht man da vor. ich vermute, dass bei einer Einrichtung von RAID die Daten auf der Arbeitsplatte und der Backupplatte futsch sind. Gibt es jemanden hier, der Erfahrungen mit so einer Umstellung aus einem aufgesetzten System hat? Wonach muss ich bei Onkel google suchen, mir fehlt im Moment eine klare Begriffsbestimmung für das, was ich da vielleicht vorhabe. Danke für Eure Hinweise.
