Hallo, ich habe hier ein Problem mit einer Duealhead-Grafikkarte. Aber zunächst einmal: Der Rechner ist ein Dell Precision 670, die Grafikkarte eine Nvidia quadro fx 3450/400 SDI. Die Ansprüche der Kollegin, die die an diesem Rechner sitzt: An dem einen Ausgang vom Dualhead hängt einer kleiner Monitor, der auf 8bit Farbtiefe läuft mit Auflösung 1280x1024 (für bestimmte Anwendungen), und an dem anderen Ausgang hängt einer großer Monitor für 24bit Farbtiefe und Auflösung 1900x1200. Beide sollen gleichzeitig betrieben werden können. Es ist also werder clone, noch xinerama aktiv. Unter SuSE 9.3 lief das auch. Jetzt habe ich einen Upgrade (besser gesagt: Neuinstallation) auf Opensuse 11.0 gemacht und bekomme komische Effekte: Beim 8-bit Monitor ist die Einlogmaske. Die scheint 800x600 Auflösung zu haben, sodass nur ein Teil drauf ist (der Teil mit username und password; der Teil links unten, wo man u.a. den Session manager einstellt fehlt). Wenn ich mich einlogge, schaffe ich es nicht auf dem 24-bit Monitor Fenster zu aktivieren. Mit der Maus kann ich mich zwar durch die Menues der fenster hangeln, aber aktiv ist nur was im 8bit-Monitor ist. Wenn ich aus dem xorg.conf einen der beiden Monitore rausnehme und X neu starte, funktioniert der Monitor. Also: Monitor einzeln tut einwandfrei. Nur zusammen geht es "nicht ganz perfekt". Ich habe unten das xorg.conf angehängt. Fällt jemandem etwas dazu ein? Ich habe festgestellt, dass bei der 11.0 im Dualhead-Betrieb unter KDE 3.5 kein Windowmanager auf dem "anderen" Monitor (dem, der NICHT das Login-Fenster hatte) gestartet wird. Man kann zwar aus dem Menue Anwendungen starten, aber die haben alle keine Dekoration und bekommen auch keinen Focus. Ein Workaround ist, einfach "kwin" in die Searchbar vom K-Menue einzutippen und zu starten. Bei nachfolgenden Logouts und Logins wird dann der Windowmanager korrekt auch auf dem zweiten Monitor gestartet. kk
