Hallo! Ich setze gerade einen OpenLDAP - Server auf (unter SuSE Linux 8.2) und einiges funktioniert schon. login usw. sind konfiguriert und funktionieren. Möchte ich als root das Passwort ändern erhalte ich folgenden - etwas merkwürdigen - Dialog: pluto:~ # passwd user2 Changing password for user2. Old Password: New password: Re-enter new password: LDAP password information changed for user2 passwd: Authentication failure Meine Fragen: 1) Wozu benötige ich das "Old Password" als root? 2) passwd meldet einen Fehler, jedoch ist das Passwort geändert. Weil root nur lokale Passwoerter aendern darf. Im LDAP Tree darf er das ohne Authentifizierung natuerlich nicht.
2) passwd meldet einen Fehler, jedoch ist das Passwort geändert. Tolle Meldung.

Hmm. Korrigiere mich. Aber mit den entsprechenden Einstellungen in der / etc/openldap/ldap.conf: host 127.0.0.1 base dc=xxx,dc=x ldap_version 3 binddn cn=Manager,dc=xxx,dc=xt rootbinddn cn=Manager,dc=xxx,dc=x crypt des pam_password crypt und einer Datei /etc/ldap.secret funktioniert es doch?
