SCSI-Platte stellt nach Update von 6.4 auf 7.2 den Dienst ein
Hallo Leute, Ich habe ein Problem mit einer SCSI-Platte (Typ: CONNER Model: CFP1060S 1.05GB Rev: 2035). Diese Platte arbeitete mit dem Tekram DC395UW (Modul : dc395x_trm) prächtig zusammen. Nach einem Update von 6.4 auf 7.2 erhalte ich beim mounten dieser Platte in den meisten Fällen folgende Fehlermeldungen in /var/log/messages:
kernel: VFS: Can't find an ext2 filesystem on dev sd(8,2).
Wenn ich dann e2fsck durchlaufen lasse, folgen nur noch diese Meldungen:

Das erstreckt sich über fast alle Sektoren. Da die Platte nichts wertvolles enthielt, habe ich einfach vesucht, ein neues Dateisystem - wieder ext2 - anzulegen. Fehlanzeige ! Die erste Partition lässt sich nur mit Mühe überreden, ext2 wirklich anzunehmen. Bei den beiden folgenden geht es. Sofort nach mkfs kann ich e2fsck aufrufen und bin Zeuge eines derart schrottigem Dateisystems, wie ich es unter Linux noch NIE erlebt habe. Von fehlenden Superblocks bis ein sich im Kreis drehendes Überprüfen von ext2 (die Inoden und Blöcke von 0-50 werden gefixt; e2fsck beginnt von neuem bei 0 einzulesen, fixt wieder alles, liest neu ein,....) habe ich alles erlebt. Benutze ich dagegen das Rescue-System von 6.4 und lege das fs dann an, funkionieren alle Partitionen! Solange ich nur nicht wieder 7.2 starte, habe ich KEINE Probleme mit der Platte. Mehrmaliges mounten der Partitionen, lesen, schreiben - alles geht. Nach Reboots des Rescue-System auch keine Probleme. Beim Start von 7.2 klappt das mounten der Partitionen nur EINMAL - aber auch nicht oft. Mal ist kein ext2 zu finden, mal wird die Partition als Datei (!?) gemountet. Dieses Schwierigkeiten sind aber nichts zu denen, wenn ich die ALLOW DISCONNECTION im SCSI-BIOS wieder ABSTELLE ! Dann wird die Platte langsam autistisch :

Ich hatte unter 6.4 ALLOW DISCONNECTION standardmäßig eingeschaltet! ALLE obige Fehler tauchen dann in verschiedenen beliebigen Permutationen und Häufigkeiten auf. Das Installieren des neuen Moduls von Garloff hat nichts gebracht. Ich bin mit meinem Latein am Ende. Hilfe Bitte ccD

many things deleted was du uns noch nicht verrraten hast ist ob die platte in der letzten konfig noch läuft, wenn du das nicht mehr verifizieren kannst wäre ein erster Test dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdx und wenn du zuviel zeit hast dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/sdx für mich sieht das so aus als wäre da einfach ein plattensterben mit dem update zusamemn gefallen. -- MfG.
