Antwort: SuSE 5.3 mit Asus P5A-Board...
nach dem Boardwechsel von Asus T2P4 Revision 3.10 auf Asus P5A-B Rev. 1.03 mit Bios 10040 habe mit SuSE 5.3, Kernel 2.035 folgendes Problem: HDD-Boot ueber loadlin funktioniert nicht mehr. Boot via Bootdisk laeuft einwandfrei... Ich tippe auf ein Timing-Problem. Hat jemand aehnliche Erfahrungen gemacht oder any hints?

Vielleicht hast Du aufgrund des neuen boardes eine andere BIOS-HDD architektur eingestellt. (mit mehr als 1024 Cylinder) Dann gibt es da naemlich Probleme wenn Du Deine boot-partition mit mehr als 1024 cylinder eirichtest. Erscheint da beim Start nur noch ein LI ?
