Auf dem selben bus wie das cdrom hängt auch noch eine HD. Komisch oder? Hat jemand schon mal sowas gesehen? Wobei man dann noch anmerken muss, das damit auf PIO Modus umgeschaltet wird, also die Platten u.U. langsamer werden und auf jeden Fall wird die Prozessorauslastung höher. Ich würde es eher mal mit hdparm versuchen, denn damit kann man ja gezielt ein Gerät konfigurieren.
