HylaFax Client Cypheus Win32
Hallo Zusammen, ich habe auf meinem Win2K Rechner den HylafaxClient Cypheus installiert. Beim Programmstart erscheint Dialog, in dem ich ein Usernamen und ein Passwort eingeben muss. Desweiteren muss ich die IP des Servers eingeben, was ja kein Problem ist, und die Portnummerm, welche mit 4559 vorgegeben ist. Welches Passwort will er da haben ????? Welche Version hast Du denn? Bei den neueren Versionen gibt es da noch ein config-file '/var/spool/fax/cypheus.conf', ist da etwas eingetragen. Auf meiner Kiste läuft keinerlei X-Gemähre, da ich den Linuxrechner via Webmin und SSH konfiguriere und administriere. Und vis SSH kann ich ich mich problemlos einloggen. Dieses Cypheus scheint ja die eierlegende Wollmilchsau zu sein, wenns läuft. Ich verwende hier die Version 1.09.744. Da war nach dem entzippen eine Datei cypheus.conf mit dabei. Diese Datei musste in das Verzeichniss /var/spool/fax kopiert werden. Hier werden Zugriffsrechte gesetzt, damit nicht jeder alle Faxe einsehen oder loeschen kann.
Ansonsten, einloggen als Benutzer (Linux) kannst Du Dich?

Dieses Cypheus scheint ja die eierlegende Wollmilchsau zu sein, wenns läuft.
Es gibt keine bessere Clientsoftware fuer hylafax. Weder SuSEfax (Wuerg), noch whcf sind auch nur annaehernd so durchdacht. Wobei sich SuSEfax bestenfalls als 'pre-alpha Programmstudie' klassifizieren laesst. Da cypheus aber eine kommerzielle Software ist, wuerde ich mich natuerlich gerne vom Gegenteil ueberzeugen lassen. Doch zurueck zu Deinem Problem. Hylafax laeft bei Dir, und macht auch das was es soll? Die Zugriffsrechte werden in einer MySQL-Datenbank gespeichert. Da liegt ein SQL-Dump bei, wo eine Datenbank mit 8 Tabellen angelegt wird. Aber an MySQL kann es nicht liegen, denn die läuft einwandfrei.

Bevor ein Server nicht laeuft, kann sich natuerlich auch ein Client nicht anmelden, egal ob fax, mail, file, oder wasauchimmer-Server. ok, dann kann cypheus auch nicht. Wenn Du mal mit ein paar Info's rueberkommst, kann man Dir eventuell helfen. Ne funktioniert nicht. :-( Komisch ist nur, das der Faxenpfang mit mgetty+sendfax funktioniert. (????) Das erinnert mich irgendwie an Windows. Je größer der Konfigurationsumfang je warscheinlicher das es *nicht* läuft. Ich werde Hyla von der Platte fegen und mir eine Lösung mit den Hauseigenen mitteln austüfteln. Ich danke Dir aber für Deine Hilfe.
