Nach Offline Online gehen mit Mozilla
Hallo Leute, hab da mal ne Frage, dir mir schon länger brennt. Hab hier SUSE 8.0 laufen, und gestern Mozilla 1.0 installiert. Wenn ich den Browser starte ohne online zu sein gibt der mir eine Fehlermeldung aus. Konnte nicht mit xxxx verbinden. Soweit sogut. Wähle ich mich jetzt ein mit dem Modem, bekomm ich trotzdem keine Seite aufgerufen. Obwohl ich auf offline im Browser gehe und danach wieder auf online. Nur bei Eingabe der IP statt der Domain klappts !? Bei früheren Versionen hat dies noch geklappt glaub bis 0.9.8 oder 0.9.7 Ich komme nicht drumherum den Browser zu beenden und wieder neu bei bestehender Verbindung zu starten. Irgendeine Idee wodrans liegen könnte. Ist mir schon sehr wichtig weil ich oft E-Mails vorher offline schreibe mich dann einwähle und diese versende, und das man dafür den Browser neu starten muss ist wohl nicht Sinn der Sache. Ich wähl mich mit KPPP ein aber mit Kinternet das gleiche Problem ! Gruss Paddy

Jo hab das mal gemacht nach http://sdb.suse.de/de/sdb/html/dns_cache.html aber klappt immer noch nicht zuverlässig. Jetzt such er Minuten lange bevor er dann die Meldung ausgibt das die Seite nicht erreichbar ist :-( Mensch mit Mozilla 0.9.8 hat damals noch gefunzt. Vielleichts ist es ein Problem des Browsers. Hat jemand anders das gleiche Problem ? MFG Patrick Klaus

Jo aber die offline online Funktion klappt eben nicht mehr ! :-(
Komisch, ich hab einen DNS in meine Netzwerk laufen und kann trotzdem nach Trennung der Verbindung am Router mit Mozilla weiterarbeiten. Könnte es sein, dass das nur Rechner betrifft, die selbst am Internet hängen? Oder ist es das gleiche Phänomen, das bereits Netscape 4.x hat, wenn er eine Adresse nicht auflösen kann und man später die wieder versucht anzusprechen? Der Browser speichert den Status des Servers und gibt diesen wieder aus, anstelle es erneut zu versuchen. Wenn die Internetverbindung zusammenbricht, dann merkt sich Netscape das auch und meint trotz Wiederherstellung, dass das Netzwerk nicht erreichbar wäre... Ein Bug, der heutzutage völlig überflüssig ist... Selbst den IE, der ähnlich reagiert, kann man überreden, wieder eine Verbindung aufzubauen, ohne ihn neu zu starten. Das könnte sein, es klappt nur dann nicht wenn einmal die Meldung kam "connection to blablabla refused" wenn die Meldung nicht kam, funzt es. Die Meldung kommt jetzt nach dem einrihten des cache DNS nicht direkt sondern nach ner Minute oder so, scheinbar sucht er erst mal wie blöd und gibts dann auf. :-(

Bingo, mit Netscape6 klappts. Wie in den Release Notes auf: offline und dann auf online gehen. Das dauert auch paar Sekunden bis er online geht, also ein BUG von Mozilla 1.0 *kotz*. :-( MFG Patrick Klaus
