Hi, kann man den (lästigen) X-Serverreset beim Abmelden eigentlich abschalten? (Ich errinnere mich, das diese Frage schon mal da war; habe aber im Archiv nichts finden können). Hintergrund: Das ganze dauert mit den NVidia Treibern bei mir seeehr lange (>1min). Es läuft dann zwar alles, aber das nervt schon. Danke Andreas

Öffne /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/xdm-config in einen Editor und suche die Zeile DisplayManager.*.terminateServer: true und ändere das "true" am Ende der Zeile in ein "false" ab.

Hm, das ist aber nicht normal. Bei mir ging das immer ganz flott (3-4 Sekunden auf einem Thunderbird 1000). Gruß, Patrick
