KDE 3.0.1 mit leerem Startmenue
Liebe Listen-Teilnehmer, seit dem Update von KDE 2.2.2 auf 3.0.1 unter SuSE 7.3 sind (fast) alle Einträge aus dem Startmenü verschwunden. Es besteht nur noch aus den Einträgen: Abmelden, Bildschirm sperren, Kontrollleiste einrichten, Befehl ausführen, Schnellanzeiger, zueltzt geöffnete Dateinen und Lesezeichen. Oder kürzer gesagt, es gibt keinerlei Programme im Menü. Ein Hoffnungsschimmer gibt es allerdings. Als "root" ist das Menü komplett. Welche Konfigurationsdateien sind für das Startmenü verantwortlich? Kann man die eventuell kopieren, Rechte ändern usw. um das Startmenü zu kopieren? KDE3 kann wohl das KDE2-Menü nicht importieren, was meiner Meinung nach ärglich ist. Eigentlich sollte sowas doch nicht zu schwer sein. Abhilfe schafft "kappfinder". Der sucht nach Prgrammen und bastelt dir daraus ein Menü.
Ein Hoffnungsschimmer gibt es allerdings. Als "root" ist das Menü komplett. ^^^^ Ich würde das nicht machen. Aber wenn du nicht ganz neu bei Linux bist, wirst du schon wissen, was du tust.

Hallo Simon, danke erstmal für Deine Hilfe. Ich habe testweise einen neuen Nutzer angelegt, auch der erhält ein vollständiges Startmenü. Ganz neu bin ich bei SuSE Linux nicht, kann also Anleitungen ganz gut folgen. Deswegen kam mir auch die Idee, eine Konfigurationsdatei eines anderen Nutzers zu kopieren bzw. zu verwenden. Das Defaultstartmenü liegt bei KDE 3 unter /opt/kde3/share/applnk und sollte allen zur Verfügung stehen. Unter ~/.kde/share/applnk gibts dann noch Benutzerspezifische Menüeinträge. Wenn bei anderen Usern das Menü passt, gibts im Grunde nur zwei Möglichkeiten, entweder der User hat keine Zugriffsberechtigung auf /opt/kde3/share/applnk oder unter ~/.kde/share/applnk, oder aber es steht in ~/.kde/share/applnk was drin, dass das Menü überschreibt. Da gibt es gar nichts zu Importieren. Sowohl bei KDE2 als auch bei KDE3 ist das Menü nichts weiter als ein Verzeichnisbaum. Normalerweise liegt es unter /opt/kde3/share/applnk/. Zusätzlich können Einträge auch an anderen Stellen liegen (z.B. /etc/opt/kde3/share/applnk/ oder ~/.kde/share/applnk/)
Eigentlich sollte sowas doch nicht zu schwer sein.
