Well, and even then the use of USB does take its toll, direct result of the much lower bandwidth USB offers in comparison to USB (1.5 MBit/s vs. ~ 90). The result is a lower maximum window size and reduction in sound quality, at least according to a review in the current issue of c't (IMNSHO by far Germanies best computer mag). Now if Hauppauge decided to make a firewire version, *that* would be exciting news, as firewire can easily handle the data streams resulting from video transmissions. Heck, that's just the application that firewire is used for most.
