hallo seitdem ich den Kernel 2.6.10 * testweise installiert habe, meldet lilo, dass die 20,4 GB Festplatte von Kernel und BIOS unterschiedlich erkannt wird: Kernel: 39560 Cyl - 16 Heads - 63 Sec BIOS : 1024 Cyl - 255 Heads - 63 Sec Tatsächlich stehen aber in den BIOS 2482 Cyl. Die Angaben des Kernel kennen die BIOS so auch. Wie bzw. wo kann man diese Meldung wieder abstellen? Andererseits: Probleme habe ich damit sonst nicht. Aber jetzt benutze ich die Festplatte schon viele Jahre mit SuSE, aktuellen SuSE-Kernel (selbst gebacken) und den gleichen BIOS. Nie hat sich lilo mit so einer Info gemeldet. Warum jetzt?
