Has anyone worked with a Linux hosted RDBMS (preferably with JDBC support) in a 24x7 unattended environment? Our application borders on real-time, but there aren't that many hard performace constraints. However the RDBMS has to be very resilient because if anything goes wrong our customers will be relying on our field service to fix things. I'd love to hear of any specific combinations of releases/databases that have been successfully deployed for this sort of hands-off environment.
