Die Standardantwort ist, wie immer irgendwie, eine frische Installation ist meistens besser als eine Upgrade-Arie. Ansonsten wird das Upgrade von 9.3 auf 10 sicherlich unterstützt. Du solltest jedoch beachten, daß es einen Unterschied gibt zwischen der Download-Version und der Kauf-Version. So könnte es bspw. sein, daß bestimmte Pakete, welche Du momentan installiert hast in der Download-Variante nicht enthalten sind. Die Download-Version wird nur Software enthalten, die frei verteilbar im Sinne der GPL oder einer GPL-artigen Lizenz ist. Pakete wie Acrobat Reader, Real Player, flash und Java gibt es direkt nur über die Kauf-Version. Ich wollte nur wissen ob es möglich ist von einer x86 Installation auf x86_64 ein update zu machen, da ich hier einen AMD 64 habe auf dem aber ein 32 Bit SuSE 9.3 läuft. Also ein 32Bit -> 64Bit Upgrade wäre mir zu heikel, selbst wenn es angeboten würde. Update von 32 auf 64bit. Nein das geht leider nicht :-( Wurde in der suse_amd64 Liste schon oft von den SuSE Mitarbeitern erwähnt. Ciao Marco!

Ja, CD rein und von CD Booten, dann kann ein Update ausgewählt werden. Hat Bei meinen Amd64 gut geklapt, war jedoch schon unter 9.3 als 64bit inst.. Neu instalieren ist zu empfehlen, .... Gruß von Carl T.
