Das ist zwar nicht genau Deine Frage, aber der 4800P läuft bei mir.... Vielleicht geht das auch mit dem 6000P In der /etc/sane.d/dll.conf die Zeile mustek kommentieren und dafür mustek_pp auskommentieren. Dann in der /etc/sane.d/mustek_pp.conf den Medion kommentieren und den Scanmagic 6000P suchen. Wenn Du ihn nicht finden solltest, versuche mal den 4800P. Dessen Einträge dann entkommentieren. Ich habe neulich mal als nonroot mit sudo probiert - das gab nix wie Ärger... Wie scannst du mit dem Ding?
Also `, es gibt die Moeglichkeit mit dem saned uebers Netyzwek (localhost :-) ) zu scannen habe ich aber nicht zum laufen bekommen. Ich scanne per sudo: # visudo und dann Eintragen: <user, dem scannen erlaubt werden soll> <Hostname>:NOPASSWD /usr/X11R6/bin/xsane und dann in die /etc/profile.local alias xsane="sudo /usr/X11R6/bin/xsane" Nach einem aus- und einloggen oder reboot sollte es funktionieren (allerdings nur, wenn Du xsane in nem xterm, konsole o.ae ausfuehrst). Dann warnt er, dass man doch tunlichst nicht als root scannen solle, das bestaetigt man (jedes Mal!!!!!) und dann kann man scannen. Rene

In /dev/sg? ist der Scanner auf Gruppenrechte disk gesetzt. Habe einfach in /etc/groups die user in die Gruppe disk eingetragen. Uwe
