Hallo Linux-Spezialisten, ich ärgere mich nun schon seit mehreren Tagen mit OpenSuSE 10.3 auf meinem neuen Laptop rum (IBM Lenovo T60, mit Radeon Mobility X1400 Grafikarte) rum. Folgendes habe ich inzwischen geschafft: Ich habe mit die ATI-Treiber vom ATI community-Repository http://www2.ati.com/suse/10.3 installiert, und dann mit sax -r und aticonfig erstmal ein initiales xorg.conf erzeugt. Danach bin ich wieder mit sax2 rangegangen, um meinen zweiten Monitor (enable dual head mode) zu konfigurieren. Als zweiten Monitor habe ich einen 19-Zoller DELL 1907FPT. Ich kann hier auch wunderbar die Auflösung 1280x1024 einstellen; alleine was nicht geht: nirgendwo kann ich die Größe angeben. Und das ich die Größe nicht angeben kann scheint genau das Problem zu sein. im meinem zweiten Monitor (über docking station angesteuert) erscheint der Desktop zu groß. Das bedeutet, dass ich nur immer in etwa 80% des Desktops sehen kann, der Reste ist links, rechts, oben oder unten. Zwar komme ich durch Mausbewegungen zwar dorthin, aber das ist eigentlich kein haltbarer Zustand. Es sieht so aus, als wäre in xorg.conf nicht alles sauber. Was mir auch noch auffällts, ist ein leichter delay auf meinem zweiten Monitor. Eingetippte Buchstaben erscheinen hier verzöger das golt auch für den ersten Screen, den Laptop. Ich hänge mal meine xorg.conf an; vielleicht entdekcen die X-Gurus da was... Ich weiß mir nun keinen Rat mehr als das Umsteigen auf eine andere Distri; deswegen wäre ich für Tipps echt dankbar!!
