/ auf andere Partition kopieren/verschieben
Hallo, Ich wollte die Partition / auf eine ander Partition/Festplatte umlagern. Die vorhanden Partition ist gemountet. Nun wolte ich die Daten unter root auf ein die neue Partition mit cp -dpR usw. kopieren. Leider bleibt das Kopieren beim Verzeichnis /proc stehen(bricht nicht ab und keine EIntragungen in div .Log-Dateien). Wo ist mein Fehler? Das Einbinden in fstab ist natürlich klar. MfG Frank

Ja, das ist normal. Im /proc-System stehen keine zu kopierenden Dateien, sondern kernel-spezifische Informationen des aktuellen Systemlaufs. Einfache Faustregel zum Duplizieren des /-Dateisystems: Alle diejenigen Verzeichnisse _nicht_ mitkopieren, unter denen irgendetwas gemountet ist, sondern einfach nur im Kopierziel neu anlegen; Rechte setzen nicht vergessen! Ich habe solche Aktionen bisher immer erfolgreich mit dem "mc" durchgeführt; man sieht in den beiden Directory-Fenstern sehr schön, was noch fehlt. Falls Du mit Lilo bootest, die erforderlichen Anpassungen nicht vergessen! Hth, Norbert P.S.: Deine Zeilen sind sehr lang!

Du kannst nicht einfach alles so übernehmen. /proc ist kein Dateisystem auf der Festplatte, sondern ein Abbild des Hauptspeichers. man proc Jan

Versuchs mal mit dem zusätzlichen Parameter "-x" bzw "--one-file-system" für cp. Damit sollten laut Manpage nur Dateien dieser Partition kopiert werden. Habe dieses Flag allerdings noch nicht selber getestet. Gruß Jörg -- www.lug-untermain.de - Dipl.-Ing. Jörg Schütter joerg.schuetter@gmx.de
Hallo, danke an alle, Hier mein Erfahrungsbericht: 1. Nemmt nicht die Infos von der SDB Datenbank oder in der /usr/share/doc/sdb/de/html/maddin_kopieren.html, denn dann benötigt ihr nicht nur 1 oder 2 Stunden sondern mindestens mehr als 10 h für 10 GB. 2. Ich bin wie folgt vorgegangen: 1. alle Benutzer aussperren 2. kritische Proc. beendet 3. anlegen eines neuen Verzeichnis 4. mounten der Partition mit neuen Verzeichnis 5. kopiern aller Daten(außer /proc) 6. erstellen des Verzeichnis /proc auf neuer Festplatte 7. fstab und lilo anpassen Bemerkung: Kopierzeit ca. 30 min Neu booten Das wars, und alles funktioniert ohne Probleme.
