Alle Daten sind in einer ca. 30 MB großen Datenbank enthalten. Es wird sich wahrscheinlich um eine mit COBOL erstellte Datenbank handeln. Leseversuche mit herkömmlichen Datenbankprogrammen führt zu keinem Ergebnis, obwohl als Datenbank.db steht. Der erste Satz bschreibt jedoch nur den Hersteller des DOS-Programmes. Die Stammdaten, Listen, Konten, und Steuerparameter sind nach HEX-Ansicht wohl als Satzarten in die Datenbank gestellt. Die einzelnen Listen können über eine Datenschnittstelle als DBASE Datei ausgelesen werden. (Incl. Satzbeschreibung) Da es z.Zt. keine Finanzbuchhaltung einfacher Art unter Linux gibt, war meine Idee diese Datenbank als Grundlage zu nehmen und unter C / C++ oder einer anderen Programmsprache die Masken unter Linux neu zu programmieren. Einmal die Erfassungsmaske für die Buchungen und zum anderen die Auswertungen für die Bildschirmausgaben und dem Drucker. Die Masken sollten nur über die Tastatur bearbeitet werden. Mäuse sind für richtige Buchhalter ein greul. Der will den Buchungssatz ohne viel schnickschnack auf dem Bildschirm bei der Erfassung sehen. Ebenso den Ausdruck der Kontenbewegungen. Meine Idee dazu. Wir machen daraus ein gemeinsames Projekt und stellen eine Finanzbuchhaltung Software als Linux-Projekt für alle Buchhalter im Linuxlager zur Verfügung. Was meinst Du mit "Datenbank" (einer der am häufigsten falsch benutzten EDV-Begriffe). Ist der gesamte Datenbestand in einer einzigen großen Datei untergebracht namens "Datenbank.db"? COBOL als Quellsprache des/r Programms/e klingt durchaus sehr plausibel. Allerdings arbeite(te)n COBOL-Programme üblicherweise mit mehreren Dateien; ein Datenpool (wie ich Deine Beschreibung verstehe) ist nur über spezielle Libraries ansprechbar. Zumindest gilt das für die häufigsten COBOL-Systeme aus der DOS-Area (MS, Realia, RM, und einer_der_mir nicht_einfällt). Als Entwicklungssystem wäre auch Clipper (Nantucket) denkbar, aber auch hier gilt IIRC "kein Datenpool". Es könnte aber auch Basic sein (wenn Original-SW von Nixdorf-Systemen). Und wenn ich mal ganz tief im Gedächtnis nachgrabe, da tauchen schemenhaft Anzeigen über Datenhaltungssoftware aus amerikanischen Zeitschriften auf. Aber Einzelheiten bleiben im Nebel verborgen... Sollte es sich bei dem "einer_der_mir_nicht_einfällt-Hersteller" um MicroFocus (jetzt: Merant) handeln und die fraglichen Dateien "paarweise" vorhanden sind (bla.dat und bla.idx), so handelt es sich um sog. ISAM-Dateien - eine MicroFocus-proprietäre Dateiform, die m.E. tatsächlich nur über COBOL-Programme auswertbar ist. Hinzu kommt, das diese Programme den *exakten* Aufbau der Datensätze kennen müssen.
