Hi, ich steige gerade von TB 2 unter oS 11.1 auf TB 3 unter oS 11.2 um. TB 3 öffnete schon mal, aber ich hatte meine Lokalen Ordner noch nicht umgezogen. Hat aber die Plugins weitgehend aktualisiert, dabei natürlich 32bit-Versionen von Lightning und Enigmail, die ich dann gleich deinstalliert habe. Also TB beendet, kopiert, TB neu angeklickt - nix. Mist. Auf der Konsole sehe ich: wflamme@rz36:~> thunderbird GLib-ERROR **: gmem.c:136: failed to allocate 88 bytes aborting... /usr/bin/thunderbird: Zeile 130: 6151 Abgebrochen $MOZ_PROGRAM "$@" wflamme@rz36:~> Nun, an die 88 fehlenden Bytes glaube ich nicht - von den 8 GB ist noch etliches frei... ;-) Kennt jemand diese Meldung? Ich möchte meine mehrere GB große Sammlung Lokaler Ordner nicht verschrotten - ich lese (sporadisch) viele Mailinglisten, und die werden dort einsortiert, weil das IMAP-Limit nicht so hoch ist. Wie bekomme ich TB wieder ans laufen? Hallo, schau mal, das ist ein Startskript, zumindest bei mir (oS 11.0, TB 2.0.0.19): $> la /usr/bin/thunderbird lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 35 31. Jan 2009 /usr/bin/thunderbird -> ../lib64/thunderbird/thunderbird.sh Vielleicht findest Du darin die Ursache. Werner Flamme schrieb:

Ich wollte kürzlich auch mein Verzeichnis ~/.thunderbird in mein Home-Verzeichnis auf einer oS 11.2 mit TB 3.0 kopieren, aber da sind etliche Dateien drin, in denen absolute Pfade des Herkunftsrechners stehen. Hoffnungslos? Ich verstehe sowieso nicht, warum bei einem neuen Paket kein Migrationsskript dabei ist (Gilt auch für KDE3 -> KDE4). Verflixt und zugenäht, soll man vielleicht alle Einstellungen bei jedem Versionswechsel nochmal machen? Das kann's doch nicht ernsthaft sein. Es sollte bei Konfigurationsdateien eine eindeutige Trennung zwischen Hardware-, System- und was-weiß-ich-abhängigen Teilen sowie rein persönlichen Daten gemacht werden, damit man bei einem Umzug der Daten genau nur die mitnehmen kann, die nicht vom Zielsystem abhängen.

Allerdings scheint das doch ein etwas tiefer liegender Fehler in einer Bibliothek zu sein. Nein, kann es eigentlich nicht. Aber da sehe ich bei Thunderbird auch kein Problem. Ein einfaches Update für ein Profil sollte problemlos gehen und tut es in den allermeisten Fällen auch. Du spricht hier ja anscheinend eher von einer Migration als von einem Update.

Das ist in der Tat eine komische Sache. Habe ich noch nie gesehen bei Mozilla Applikationen. Sorry, ich habe zwei unterschiedliche Sachen vermischt. Was bei mir nicht funktionierte, war in der Tat eine Migration meiner TB-Konfguration auf einen anderen Rechner (das Home-Verzeichnis heißt anders) und gleichzeitig der Übergang TB 2.0 --> TB 3.0. War wohl zuviel verlangt. Aber wie geht man jetzt richtig vor, wenn man seine TB-Config von einer oS 11.0 (mit TB 2.0) auf eine oS 11.2 (mit TB 3.0) bringen will. Zuvor auf der oS 11.2 einen TB-Upgrade, oder auf der oS 11.2 einen TB-Downgrade durchführen?
