Hallo zusammen, ich habe gerade auf meinem Server NTOP installuert. Angeblich wird dieses Programm mit http://hostname:portnumber/ gestartet. Was ich als Hostname verwenden soll ist mir klar. (Meine IP Adresse) Aber Was soll ich als Portnumber verwenden. Bei der Installation mußte ich nichts angeben. Was ist der Standartport für NTOP? Herzlichen Dank und bis bald Manfred Gnädig

Das aktuelle Verzeichnis liegt für root aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht im Suchpfad. Wenn Du in /sbin bist, gib mal ./ntop ein, dann sollte es funktionieren. Ich empfehle Dir ein wenig Beschäftigung mit Linux-Grundlagen. Steht doch da: er findet ntop nicht. _IST_ es installiert ? Wenn ja, wo ? Hinweise, wie du das rausfindest, sind schon gekommen. Wenn es installiert ist, dann rufe es mal mit komplettem Pfad auf. Was soll ich als Portnumber verwenden. Bei der Installation mußte ich nichts angeben.

kommt drauf an, welche SuSE Du hast. bis Version 7.0 mach mal: /sbin/init.d/ntopd status und sieh mal, ob da 'ok' steht. Wenn nicht, mach: /sbin/init.d/ntopd start Dann sollte da ein 'done' kommen Ab Version 7.1 hat sich der Pfad etwas geändert: /etc/init.d/ntopd status /etc/init.d/ntopd start oder /etc/init.d/ntopd restart Wenn ntop nun läuft, solltest Du von jedem Rechner im Netz jetzt Dein ntop mit z.B. http://192.168.x.x:3000 erreichen können Du wirst nach einem Anmeldenamen und Passwort gefragt. Richtig beantwortet, kannst Du nun deinen Traffic beobachten. Gruß Martin Falley
Hallo Manfred, ntop kann interactiv und im web modus gestartet werden. mach mal man ntop und du kriegst einiges an konfig optionen. ntop -w 3000 -r 10 -l 10 -d zB. startet ntop im web modus auf port 3000 übern Browser kannst mit www.hostname.de:3000 drauf zugreifen!
