openGL-Problem

opengl lässt sich in kaffeine nicht aktivieren. In der xine-gui schon, und das Bild ist ok.

In VLC lässt sich OPENGL grundsätzlich aktivieren, Version 0.86d stürzt aber z.B. beim Öffnen eines Videos der ZDF Mediathek in Firefox sofort ab (ganzer Firefox stürtz mit ab). Mit der VLC 0.9-beta funktioniert auch OPENGL in der ZDF Mediathek mit gutem Bild.

Konfiguriert wurde der Grafiktreiber mit aticonfig, da SAX2 immernoch mit schwarzen Bildschirmen umherwirft. Auflösung: 1280*1024@60Hz

kaffeine-Fehlermeldung: "Videotreiber 'opengl' kann nicht eingerichtet werden - 'automatisch' wird versucht ..." Hier gibt es einen "Details

Fehlt noch irgendeine Information? Gibt es noch eine Lösungsmöglichkeit? Zudem läuft kaffeine unter GNOME.

Ist bei mir auch so. Auch hier tut das opengl in Kaffeine nicht. Brauchen tu ichs da auch nicht, weil Videos und Fotos typische 2D-Anwendungen sind.

Ich bin nach der Anleitung deines ubuntu-forum.de-Links vorgegangen. Jetzt das selbe Spiel in grün: Kaffeine bringt den Fehler, das xv nicht eingerichtet werden kann, aber ohne Details. Vor der Anleitung, brachte es noch Details. => Dasselbe wie bei OpenGL. Xshm funktioniert, aber Lauftexte z.B. bei N24 schauen hässlich aus. Diese Werte deuten nicht darauf hin, dass die Hardware-3D-Beschleunigung aktiv ist, insbesondere die Unterschiede zwischen kleinem und großen Fenster deuten darauf hin, dass die CPU all die Arbeit erledigen muss, wenn die GPU es erledigen würde, müssten die Werte viel näher beieinander liegen. Aber sorry, zu dem proprietären Treiber kann ich ansonsten nichts weiteres sagen, ist Jahre her, dass ich den zuletzt versucht, verflucht und gelöscht habe.

openGL-Problem

opengl lässt sich in kaffeine nicht aktivieren. In der xine-gui schon, und das Bild ist ok.

Bei den FPS Werten macht der opengl Treiber Absolut 0,0 Sinn. Kaffeine und xine-ui greifen beide auf die libxine zu, ich bezweifle, dass die xine-ui wirklich auf den opengl Treiber zugreift und würde ganz stark vermuten, dass er kommentarlos auf einen anderen umschaltet. Wie gesagt, macht es auch keinen Sinn, Du belastest nur unnötig die CPU und treibst die Stromrechnung nach oben.

In VLC lässt sich OPENGL grundsätzlich aktivieren, Version 0.86d stürzt aber z.B. beim Öffnen eines Videos der ZDF Mediathek in Firefox sofort ab (ganzer Firefox stürtz mit ab). Mit der VLC 0.9-beta funktioniert auch OPENGL in der ZDF Mediathek mit gutem Bild.

Wundert mich nicht, VLC schluckt ziemlich viel CPU-Zeit.

Konfiguriert wurde der Grafiktreiber mit aticonfig, da SAX2 immernoch mit schwarzen Bildschirmen umherwirft. Auflösung: 1280*1024@60Hz

Wieso willst Du denn den unbedingt verwenden. Der empfehlenswerte Treiber ist xv, er ist am CPU schonensten und verteilt die meiste Last auf die GPU, nutzt dafür die XVideo-Extension und nicht OpenGL. Die Bildqualität müsste bei allen Treibern bei Darstellung in der Originalgröße identisch sein, nur beim Hoch-/Runterskalieren kann es je nach Implementierung Differenzen geben.

video_out_xcbxv: Xv-Erweiterung ist vorhanden, aber es wurde kein benutzbarer YUV12-Port gefunden. Unterstützt die Grafikhardware evtl. kein Xv?!

Es gibt in Gnome besser integrierte Xine-Frontends, wie Totem oder gxine, aber im Prinzip ist es egal.
