Hallo, ich sitze gerade vor einem Rechner mit suse 9.0, dessen Besitzer gern DVDs anschauen würde. Zuerst dachte ich an vlc, bin dann aber ein wenig vor dem Downloadvolumen zurückgeschreckt. Da ich hier auch nur ein 56k Modem habe wäre mir eine Lösung, bei der ich nicht so viel aus dem Internet holen muss lieb. Bei packman habe ich nach kaffeine und nach mplayer geschaut. Mich wundert jedoch, dass in den Abhängigkeiten libdvdcss nicht mehr auftaucht. Kann man damit wirklich DVDs abspielen? Wo finde ich Suse-9.0-geeignete Pakete zum Abspielen von DVDs? Danke, Torsten

Die libdvdcss wird für css-codierte DVD's gebraucht. Libdvdcss und die verschiedenen Codecs und PlugIns braucht man nur installieren, wenn man das entsprechende Format auch tatsächlich abspielen möchte, da wäre eine Abhängigkeit fehl am Platz. Andersherum wirst Du feststellen können, das die PlugIns bei Installation die Kernkomponennten der Playersoftware als Abhängigkeiten aufführen. Grüße René

Du kannst nicht kopiergeschützte Video-DVDs auch ohne die libdvdcss anschauen, alle anderen nicht. Abhängigkeit auf der Webseite gibt es kein, da wir keine libdvdcss Pakete bereitstellen dürfen. Eine Abhängigkeit im RPM wäre unsinnig, da alle die keine Video-DVDs anschauen wollen, diese nicht braucehn.
Wo finde ich Suse-9.0-geeignete Pakete zum Abspielen von DVDs?
