Guten Morgen, ich möchte von meinen Win-Clients mit Outlook-Express Mails von meinem Linux (Suse 7.2 Kernel 2.2...) abholen und versenden. Sendmail und Fetchmail habe ich eingerichtet, lokal auf dem Server kann ich auch senden und empfangen. Mein Problem: Mit Outlook Express kann ich keinen Connect zum Server aufbauen, ich nehme an, daß die Ports für smtp und pop3 zu sind. In /etc/inetd.conf habe ich schon beide aktiviert, komme aber auch per telnet auf Port 110 nicht weiter: "Connection refused". Kann mir jemand sagen, was ich noch freischalten muß? Hast Du auch einen POP3-Server (qpopper) eingerichtet? /etc/hosts.allow so konfiguriert, das die entsprechenden Programme auch angesprochen werden können? Irgendwelche Meldungen in Log-Dateien... Paketfilter laufen, der auch Anfragen von intern blockiert? Da gibt es eine Menge Ursachen... Hallo Patrick, mir wurde gestern zu dem Thema geholfen Thread war: "Interne Mail abholen POP3" da tauchen alle möglichen Fehler / Lösungen auf. Ich würde rückblickend folgendermaßen an das Thema rangehen: 1. "netstat -lt " hier sollte bei der Ausgabe irgendwo ein :*pop3 auftauchen wenn nicht dann "rcinetd start" 2. wenn immer noch keine Verbindung hosts.allow checken sollte der Eintrag "popper: 192.168.1." (IP-entsprechend anpassen) auftauchen 3. und als letztes würde ich dann - wenns immer noch nicht tut - die ipchains checken evt. mal alles auf ACCEPT, vorher aber ins log schauen weil wenn geblockt wird sollte da ein Eintrag vorhanden sein.
