apache xml und xslt will nicht so wie ich will

      Hallo Indianerhäuptlinge und XML\XSLT Fetischisten.

Laut phpinfo() hat mein Indianer aktive xml und xslt Unterstützung.
Aaaber:
xslt Stylesheets werden nicht interpretiert.
Ich hab folgende Dateien in einem Verzeichnis:
---8<---helloworld.xml
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<?xml-stylesheet href="./helloworld.xsl" type="text/xsl"?>

<page>
 <title>Hello World!</title>
 <content>
  <paragraph>This is my first Cocoon page!</paragraph>
 </content>
</page>

und
---8<---helloworld.xsl
<?xml version="1.0"?>
 http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
                 version="1.0">

 <html>
  <head>
   <title></title>
  </head>
  <body bgcolor="#ffffff">
   xsl:apply-templates/
  </body>
 </html>

 <h1 align="center">
  xsl:apply-templates/
 </h1>

 <p align="center">
  <i>xsl:apply-templates/</i>
 </p>

Ich erwarte eigendlich dass die xml Tags mit dem xsl Style Sheet 
sauber nach html umgewandelt werden aber Pustekuchen.

Wer kann mich mal in die richtige Richtung schubsen?
