Fast jeden Monat kommt einer an und stöhnt über das Problem, dass diese alten Server, wie postfix und sendmail, die eigentlich für etwas ganz anderes gemacht sind, mit der Relay Funktionalität haben, die sie nicht wirklich beherrschen, sondern sie packen das Protokoll mit Authenisierungshosts wenn überhaupt dann nur über Zusatzmoduln und umständliche Konfigurationen, und dann auch nicht unbedingt immer und in jedem Fall. Hand aufs Herz, postfix und sendmail braucht kaum einer wirklich. Moderne Clients, wie thunderbird, können Messages von sich aus versenden und empfangen, ohne einen Server zu benötigen. Unter Windows setzt auch kaum jemand für solche Zwecke einen Server ein. Man spart Resourcen und ne Menge Ärger. Also lassts doch einfach sein.
