mit: hdparm -d1 /dev/hda Timing buffered disk reads: 32 MB in 3.02 seconds =10.60 MB/sec
Hm, ich hatte meine Geschwindigkeit vorhin mit Webmin gemessen. hdparm selbst gibt mir da folgendes:
/dev/hda: Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 2.78 seconds = 46.04 MB/sec
Ist das bei dir dann nicht etwas _extrem_ wenig?
Nein. Du hast hdparm -T statt hdparm -t verwendet! Ersteres liest (wie bei mir) aus dem Hauptspeicher cache. Daher bekomme dann auch: # for i in a b c; do hdparm -T /dev/hd$i; done /dev/hda: Timing buffer-cache reads: 64 MB in 0.42 seconds =152.38 MB/sec /dev/hdb: Timing buffer-cache reads: 64 MB in 0.42 seconds =152.38 MB/sec /dev/hdc: Timing buffer-cache reads: 64 MB in 0.42 seconds =152.38 MB/sec hdparm -t umgeht den RAM-Cache und verwendet nur den cache der Disk selbst: # for i in a b c; do hdparm -t /dev/hd$i; done /dev/hda: Timing buffered disk reads: 32 MB in 2.18 seconds =14.68 MB/sec /dev/hdb: Timing buffered disk reads: 32 MB in 2.24 seconds =14.29 MB/sec /dev/hdc: Timing buffered disk reads: 32 MB in 1.53 seconds =20.92 MB/sec (Naja, die Werte sind die jew. Maxima aus: for d in a b c; do echo /dev/hd$d:; for i in `seq 0 9`; do hdparm -t /dev/hd$d; done | grep "Timing"; done ) hdparm -v ist bei allen dreien: multcount = 16 (on) I/O support = 1 (32-bit) unmaskirq = 0 (off) using_dma = 1 (on) keepsettings = 1 (on) nowerr = 0 (off) readonly = 0 (off) readahead = 16 (on) # for i in a b c; do cat /proc/ide/hd$i/model; done Maxtor 91303D6 Maxtor 91000D8 Maxtor 92041U4 CU David -- Since this Galaxy began, vast civilizations have arisen and fallen, risen and fallen, risen and fallen so often that it's quite tempting to think that life in the Galaxy must be a) something akin to seasick -- space-sick, time sick, history sick or some such thing, and b) stupid. --- Douglas Adams | email: David@dhaller.de www: www.dhaller.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: suse-linux-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands, e-mail: suse-linux-help@suse.com
