Hello All
hello Stefan,
I have got a box with two networkcards both connection to a separate Network. In my book they tell me that linux by default forwards IP packets to the other network. I also compiled a kernel with "optimize as IP router" but the box doesn't forward anything.
From a WS in one of the Network I can ping both Network cards in the router but nothing in the other Network.
Ok, your router know about the second card!
What am I doing wrong?
Maybe nothing ;-) Maybe you forgot something. Do you have a route for every net in your route.conf? There must be a route for every single net! In your /etc/route.conf must be 2 lines similar to these: (other IP-Adresses, of course ;-) ) 192.168.10.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 eth0 192.168.20.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 eth1
Thanks
