Ich habe die offiziellen KDE-2.2-Pakete für SuSE 7.2 verwendet. Die drei Sachen könntest Du mittels yast und der rcconfig eigentlich schnell wieder graderücken.
Mag schon sein; mich ärgert nur, dass die Menschen, die diese KDE-2.2-Distribution für SuSE abgepackt haben, das ganze offenbar nicht richtig getestet haben.
beim Aufruf von rcnetwork start als root erhalte ich die Fehlermeldung /usr/sbin/rcnetwork: ELF: command not found
Guck mal nach, ob der link noch richtig ist. Wird bei Dir anders sein, da ich noch SuSE6.4 verwende.
Ich werde mir das mal anschauen; ich ändere jedoch äußerst ungern Links, die unter /usr, /sbin, etc. liegen, um Probleme bei Updates dieser Art zu vermeiden.
Was ist die Ursache meiner Probleme?
Ich kann nur raten. rpms enthalten auch Anweisungen, die Systemeinstellungen vornehmen. Deine Pakete haben Systemeinstellungen vorgenommen, die bei Deiner SuSE nicht funktioniert haben. Daher meine Vermutung, daß Du Pakete genommen hast, die nicht zu Deiner Version passen.
Die Packete sind für SuSE 7.2.
Sind die SuSE-KDE-2.2-Packete oder die SuSE-Ghostscript-7.2-Packete fehlerhaft oder ist das RPM-Packet- Managment-System mit einem solchen Update ueberfordert?
Letzteres glaube ich nicht, weil, wie gesagt, meine Erfahrungen positiver Art sind. Meine SuSE7.2 (Experimentalsystem) hat das Update vom vorhanden KDE2.1 auf KDE2.2 vertragen. Den einzigen Streich hat mir Konqueror gespielt, weil er den unterbrochenen Download nicht richtig wieder aufgenommen hat. Naja, selbst schuld - ich mußte mir also auch noch einmal kdenetwork runterziehen.
Ich sehe gerade, dass noch ein weiteres kdenetwork-RPM (kdenetwork-2.2.0-21.rpm) auf der CD ist, vielleicht kann ich das installieren (eine README-Datei auf der CD wäre wirklich hilfreich). BTW, ein exzellentes einfach zu bedienendes ftp-Programm, dass auch Downloads wieder aufnehmen kann, ist ncftp.
Nur ghostscript habe ich noch in der alten Version. Aber ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, daß es in Deine Netzwerksachen eingegriffen hat.
