laut man pppd ist hide-password die default Einstellung. Es gibt auch show-password, dann sollte das password lesbar in der log stehen.

Danke ersteinmal, aber da muss noch irgendwo ne andere Baustelle sein. ich hab jetzt mal alles mögliche ausgeschaltet noaccomp nopcomp nobsdcomp noccp ... und mit login und +pap bekomme ich IPs zugewiesen, PAP auth wird akzeptiert, aber dann bricht die Verbindung ab mit folgender Fehlermeldung auf der Serverseite : Jul 6 19:09:19 meisenweg pppd[11747]: Peer is not authorized to use remote address 192.168.0.190 Auf Linux-Client Seite : Using interface ppp0 Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/8 Remote message: Success PAP authentication succeeded replacing old default route to eth1 [192.168.199.254] local IP address 192.168.0.190 remote IP address 192.168.0.254 primary DNS address 192.168.0.254 secondary DNS address 192.168.0.254 IPCP terminated by peer (Unauthorized remote IP address) Was bedeutet das bitte ?
