Boote mal von der Installations-CD/DVD und lass das installierte System überprüfen. Mit etwas Glück findet sich die Ursache.
überprüfen kann ich da leider gar nichts mehr, ich habe die radikalkur gewählt und alles komplett neu aufgesetzt weil das sowieso gerade fällig war. zuvor liess sich aber nicht von der installation cd booten, immer der gleiche effekt wie jetzt. w2k läuft (ebenfalls nach neuinstallation) "wie immer". aber nach einem bios reset müsste doch, was immer da "initialisiert" worden ist, getilgt sein. die fehlermeldung die mir die suse 8.2 CD ausgegeben hat war geringfügig anders, da war von einem "redundant entry in serial pci table" die rede. soll ich das mal vollständig posten oder ist das auch eher wenig aussagekräftig?
Sorry, aber mehr geben Deine Infos (zumindest für mich) nicht her. Findest Du irgendwas in /var/log/messages oder auf tty10 (Strg-Alt-F10), das Dein Problem erklären könnte?

Findest Du irgendwas in /var/log/messages oder auf tty10 (Strg-Alt-F10), das Dein Problem erklären könnte? Ist es möglich, dass Deine Hardware oder zumindest Teile davon (seit kurzem) defekt sind? Läuft eigentlich w2k noch so (un ;-))stabil wie vorher? Wenn ja, würde ich erstmal nicht auf die Hardware tippen. Gruß Christian Boltz --
Genaugenommen kann es DAUs (also Mehrzahl) gar nicht geben ;-) Stimmt. Aber die werden ja gezuechtet, es gibt staendig einen neuen DAU, ergo hat man den aktuellen DAU und die nicht ganz aktuellen... [> Manfred Tremmel und David Haller in suse-linux]
